ARC and more...

Starting at 6:30pm, we'll have free food sponsored by Detroit Labs. Please RSVP to help us estimate how much food we need. While you are enjoying the food, talk with other developers and network in the local Cocoa community.

Our main meeting will start at 7pm and will feature a talk on ARC by Eric Shapiro of Relium Corporation, a demo Location Tools and a little code by Tom Crawford of Moveable Bytes, and some discussion of the Apple September 10th and 11th announcements.

Eric Shapiro will discuss Automatic Reference Counting (ARC) in Objective-C and how it makes your code easier to write, easier to read, and more reliable. He will also discuss updating older code to ARC, selectively using ARC on new code only, and other ARC-related topics.

Eric Shapiro is President of Relium Corporation, a company specializing in custom iOS and Mac applications.

We're always looking for volunteers to talk at future meetings, so please consider volunteering.
