{Workshop} Stencils + Fabric Paint = Sweet Custom Clothing

Inspiration: http://www.stayathomeartist.com/2011/07/stencil-with-freezer-paper-harry-potter.html

:) In preparation for the upcoming festivities (including the A2YDIY make & take happening on Saturday morning) at Pengicon from Friday April 26 to Sunday April 28, let's make some snazzy DIY t-shirts!

While the inspiration site uses wax paper to create the stencil, we'll be tweeking this to make the whole stencil creation process a bit faster. We'll have stencil film available for anyone to use to create their own stencils. Just bring your own design or text already printed out to trace. We'll use an electric heated pen tool to cut out the design or text to make the stencil and then tape the stencil to the shirt and sponge on fabric paint. Overall it's a pretty easy process.

All you need to do is bring something (like a shirt or bag) to paint and a print out of the design or text you'd like to put on it!

Please note: Due to the limited size of this class, the ability to add guests when RSVPing have been turned off for this event. If you would like to bring someone to this event, please send them a link and have them RSVP.

There is no charge for this event, but there is a suggested donation of a few bucks ($2 or $3/person) to help cover costs of group supplies.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
