Alright folks! Listen up, this wonderful lady I know who runs a non-profit dedicated to making biking in Ann Arbor AWESOME is putting on an event that involves lighting up bikes like Christmas trees, BEER, live music, prizes and snacks. All of this for less than it costs for a beer and half at a ball game, and it’s for a great cause! $12 gets you a lot, and while you can pay at the door with cash or card, I recommend that you pay ahead of time so she can really get a feel for how many people are coming and make the event that much more awesome. If you don’t end up going, think of that as a fantastic donation of support for the wonderful work that this woman is doing to make the roads of Ann Arbor a great place to be, even if you’re on two wheels instead of four. That all being said, if you are kinda lame and ONLY want to go to the amazing post-ride party, the cover is only $5 ;-)
Front light and rear light are required (Ann Arbor law) and a helmet is required as well (Darwin’s sort of law type thing). Other than that, feel free to make yourself as SEEN as possible, I personally plan on attaching battery operated Christmas lights on my bike and slapping a couple backpacking headlamps on my helmet!
