Day trip by comfy and spacious, with air con minibus to go hiking & sight seeing in the Cotswolds. That is the only way you can get there, no public transport go to Bibury from London.

Bibury is a charming, typically Cotswold, village just a short drive from "The Capital of the Cotswolds", Cirencester. Bibury was once described by William Morris [masked]) as "the most beautiful village in England"

The Cotswold village of Bibury

Attractions in Bibury include Arlington Row, a row of weavers cottages built of local stone next to the River Coln, the Bibury Trout Farm and the Saxon Church, the Church of St Mary.

The north Chancel wall of the Church is home to a stained glass window which was designed in 1927 by Karl Parsons and was featured in the 1992 Christmas stamp set issued by the Royal Mail.

The River Coln flows through Bibury sandwiched between the main village street and an expanse of boggy watermeadow known as Rack Isle. With Arlington Row as a backdrop, it makes one of the most picturesque scenes you will find in the Cotswolds.

The area is actually made up of two villages, Arlington on one side of the River Coln and Bibury on the other. It is one of the "must see" destinations in the Cotswolds, and has a place on the itinerary of most tourists.

So, yes, we left late because we waited for some who got stuck on the tube. However, if we didn't then probably the day wouldn't be as interesting (without them) - as so much depends on the people who make up the group.
Thank you all for the great day I enjoyed it thoroughly and we've learnt some history of the surrounding area - thank you Kieron.

That was the latest the mini bus has ever left for an event. Several people were late due to engineering works on the tubes etc. We actually, finally left at 9:20 which is only 30-40 mins later than usual. We wouldn't have waited that long except people had contacted me and said they'd be there soon. Sorry for the delay.

I now have to work tomorrow and won't be able to go. Please can someone take my place. I realise it is late notice so I am not expecting a refund, but I do want to ensure my place is used if possible. Thanks
