SATURDAY MARCH 28 DAY TRIP TO SHAKESPEARE COUNTRY Day trip by minibus to Stratford-upon-Avon & hike along the lovely River Avon Visit the home town of William Shakespeare:
http://www.stratford-... Number of minibus seats - 17. Cost - £25 per person.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you RSVP "yes" please use the PayPal link to make your payment. RSVPs without payment will have to be removed unfortunately. Follow in the footsteps of William Shakespeare and see lovely Stratford-upon-Avon and its surroundings. You can expect villages of black and white half-timbered Tudor cottages, medieval churches and tranquil countryside of wide views plus superb riverside scenery. This is a day trip with something for everyone. The plan is to do a fairly flat 8 mile walk if you feel like really stretching your legs. However if anyone only wants to walk half way you can always stop in Stratford-up-Avon and enjoy some of the many amazing sights in this historic town. The minibus will then pick you up later. In fact there is plenty to do in Stratford if you really don't feel like walking at all. You can visit the very house where Shakespeare was born in 1564 or see what life was like on a 16th century farm at Mary Arden's house. In fact if you look at
http://houses.shakesp... you can see just how much there is to see in the area.

Again it was a great experience to share the beautiful surroundings of Shakespeare Country with some friends; we weren't caught by the hail otherwise we would have been returned home soaking wet. Thanks to Misha for everything.

A very friendly group, a very scenic landscape, and an unexpected nice weather (at least while we were outside the minibus !).
    Thanks again, Misha !

What a day - the Sun, hale, rain but the last two after a hike :). I loved the walk, I can admit, this was one of my favourite! Great bunch of people as always, nice to see new faces as well as old friends.
