  • Thanks, Brian! Capitol City Brewing Co. is very close to my office, so I'll definitely be there for the next get-together.

  • Thanks, Brian! I'm hoping to make the PZ event if I can carpool with some of the Loudoun/NOVA Atheists - I get lost in DC every time :)

  • Hi Brian,
I only have your email on your business card - and if I recall, you said it was not a very good address to use. I had a few questions I wanted to ask you. I will be at the meet up at TAM - looking forward to seeing you there.

  • Welcome, Brian, it's nice to have you with us, even if only part-time.

  • Brian, I love what the Skeptics have done for critical thinking. My goal for this meetup is for a better price point for our meetup members. Bob Park has at least equally impressive credentials in the Skeptic community and our meeting with him as speaker at the CFI center February 6 is free of charge.

  • Thanks. I noticed that one of the skeptic grps had had a discussion of Paul Tillich. I should ask Fran, our resident philosopher in the Grp. I think in general that religion at some pt. will have to come to terms with what we know about biology and cosmology, + I think many theologians are way ahead of the congregations on this. Anyway you say this juncture of religion/science is not an interest of yours-I'm fascinated with it-will see if any others in the Grp want to discuss this. Take care

  • Hi Brian, Hoping to post something on the msg brd in few days--thoughts and questions after reading the Ethics and Religion chapter, in case members are interested in further discussing Wilson's book. But I wanted to ask you specifically
-Are skeptics are aware of the full range of religious views? eg Harvey Cox's book (and others) which say that this emphasis on Belief is an aberration in Christianity
-do you know anything about Tillich?
    Running out of characters!
