The next chapter meeting is Wednesday the 28th.  The email below says Tuesday the 28th.  The meetup.com web site is correct.  Sorry for the confusion.

Subject: [AAII-Atlanta] AAII subgroup: ETF sector rotation strategy THIS MONDAY at 7pm (don't miss!) + 3 other upcoming Meetups

Greetings all!!!
Please note that due to a scheduling issue, you will NOT receive a brochure via US mail for the April 28 chapter meeting - only email notices. We have a AAII Chapter meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at the Cobb Galleria, 7pm, with a special bonus session at 6 pm. Paul Townsend will lead us in the main session All I Need to Know About the Stock Market I Learned in Kindergarten which focuses on the use of point-and-figure charts to improve your investment understanding and returns. This also dovetails quite nicely with this month's AAII Journal's cover article on "Why Technical Analysis Matters". At 6pm, Joe McHarg will provide an optional 1-hour tutorial on the AAII Stock Investor Pro (SIP) stock screening software. For those of you interested in learning more about SIP (like how to apply it to the 2-part stock screening sessions mentioned above), this will be a great opportunity to see Joe put the SIP program through its paces. RSVP @ http://www.meetup.com/AAII-Atlanta/calendar/13090618/

We will also be hosting a special session on sector-based investing using ETFs (exchange traded funds), presented by Don Beasley, THIS COMING MONDAY, April 19, 7pm. For those of you who were at the February AAII chapter meeting "How to Create your Own Hedge Fund using ETFs" with Dave Fry, I think you will find Don's presentation on Monday to fill in many of the gaps of the "black box" approach presented by Dave Fry. Don has a *very* compelling story, both personally and professionally, that will compliment his hands-on, profitable approach to ETF investing. Interestingy, after fine-tuning his system (using less than a hadnful of technical indicators) Don worked his system backwards to find the parameter values that generated no more than 5-7 trades PER YEAR for his entire portfolio. Great stuff! This will be well worth your time. RSVP @ http://www.meetup.com/stockinvesting/calendar/12990991/

Lastly, we have a 2-part session on stock investing on May 11 and May 25, led by yours truly (me). This is an expanded and up-to-date version of the presentation I gave at the September 2008 AAII Atlanta chapter meeting and the January 2010 AAII Charlotte chapter meeting. The first session will focus on stock screening, using the 60 different stock screens tracked by AAII on a monthly basis since January 1998. The second session will discuss how to build a portfolio once you have identified stocks that meet your criteria. We will cover portfolio composition (how concentrated or diversified you want to be), portfolio and position sizing, scaling into the portfolio and to individual positions, money management techniques and risk management techniques. We will conclude by critically analyzing how to properly use the AAII stock screens and how NOT to use them.

Please let me know if you have any questions. It has been a while since this particular Meetup has been active, but we have a full slate of topics for the next several months that include valuation, technical analysis, capital markets issues, etc. I hope to see you all there!!!

Regards,
Bill Lyman
