Best Melee ever! Well, one of the best... top five for sure. August was really great, September was awesome too... so this one was no worse than seventh, maybe eighth. But it was one of the best, certainly in the top ten!

I has a great time playing Firefly. Even though it took much longer than the rules stated, we still managed to finish and have a great time.

Picked up the Firefly board game, read the rules and want to try it out. It claims 2 hrs.

Already unwrapped punched out and solo play tested, but want to try the group versions. Learning games are always longer. By Battlefront Miniatures.

A few of you who have played Once Upon a Time with me know how frustrating and awkward this game can sometimes get. Over the past couple of months I've been analyzing it and making a list of what needed to be changed. At the end of the process I realized that nearly everything needed to be changed for a group of adults (the original fairy-tale scenario still works when little children are included).

So I drafted a game incorporating all the changes. The result is still storytelling with cards, but other than that it's a whole new game. The cards just arrived from the print shop, and the rules sheet is rolling off my home printer even as I type this, so I'll be able to bring the results to the Melee. I hope to get in some play testing, especially with people who've tried Once Upon a Time. My new game is no fairy tale; on the contrary, it's quite appropriate to Halloween.

    Keyflower/Eclipse?

Paul, let me temper that with, if I can get enough people to play Dominant Species then Eclipse will take a back-burner.
