Eurogames in Springfield

We now meet almost every Friday evening for games at my place. We will usually skip the second Friday of the month.

I plan to have one very simple dish available (maybe spaghetti) so people will not have to go hungry, but you may want to bring your own food. We usually have a decent supply of drinks and snacks.

We have two dogs. They usually behave well enough, or else they get banished. Please move quickly from your car to the house; this reduces Bandit’s barking about your arrival.

RSVPs will be much appreciated. Last minute decisions are OK if you already know how to find our house.

Games played recently include Agricola, Railroad Tycoon, Power Grid, Stone Age, Glen More, Thurn and Taxis, Walnut Grove, St. Petersburg, Alhambra, and others that I do not recall at the moment.

Most games take 5 to 25 minutes to teach and 45 minutes to 2 hours to play, but we also have some very short games and a small number of longer games.

We have Navegador, Notre Dame, Thurn and Taxis, Walnut Grove; Settlers, Seafarers, Cities and Knights, and Explorers and Pirates of Catan; Through the Desert, Lowenherz,Tikal, Pandemic, Taj Mahal, Fresco, Blue Moon City, Ticket to Ride (U.S., Europe, Marklin, and Asia), Taluva, Agricola, Carcassonne with expansions, Blokus, Alhambra with expansions, Dominion with expansions, Yspahan, Power Grid (several maps), Ingenious, Web of Power, Age of Empires, Carcassonne with expansions, and many more.

    An-Jen,

I checked BBG on the rule issue we had with "Bamboozle" in last weeks Kings of Air and Steam game. We got two things wrong. 1st on using multiple tokens on a shipment. There were many posts arguing both sides, like our group also debated. The designed clarified and said only one token per shipment. I made two in the game, so minus 8 points. On the end game shipment the designer also clarified each cube is considered a separate shipment. My understanding was there was a single shipment. With this correction, you could use any and all remaining bamboozle tokens at the end, since each cube is a shipment. The cube I didn't ship from above "could" have been shipped at the end for 4 points. I would have had 120 vs 124 points.

hey, i'm bringing Kings of Air and Steam. If you haven't played it before, it's a very interesting twist on the pick up and delivery genre of games. It plays up to 7, though I've only played it with 5.
