At ideas42 we strive to understand the situations in which people are placed. Often these situations deeply inform why someone made a specific decision or took a certain action.
When approaching a problem, it’s intuitive to think that the reason why someone may have come up short (made a payment late or failed to send in a form on time, for example) is because of a personal flaw. -- “He’s just lazy.” -- But - taking a different perspective - what specifically about the design of the payment system could have caused someone to pay late? Was it really complex? And how about the design of the required form? Does it being 11 pages long affect anything?
