  • Sage, welcome back to the wonderful world of chickens. Silkies are natural snugglers, but handling your birds a lot will make most any breed very tame.

  • Hi and welcome to the group! I think that your plans are very nice, and you have a great selection of breeds. I have never actually had any of the breeds, but have had a year worth of research (friends and family call me chickenboy or chicken whisperer). Silkies in particular are a great breed if you are looking for docilness. In majority most feather legged breeds such as cochins are very docile, and make great choices for a pet, broody, or project to have. All 3 are great... good luck!!! :D
