Hana - the group agreed they like having variety in our reading choices, as opposed to sticking with one theme for the entire year. Books suggested for future reading included Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell and Spin State by Chris Moriarity. Other members may have other suggestions.

Not sure if I'll make it tonight. If I do, I might bring a guest.

My suggestion for December is Chris Moriarty's "Spin State" (http://www.amazon.com/Spin-State-Chris-Moriarty/dp/0553586246/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350842962&sr=8-1&keywords=spin+state) Meeting on December 17th

Great Odin's Ravens! One guess what day I've been scheduled for at work. Grumble grumble. I must trust y'all to vote on Daemons and let me know, and pick December's book. What about a theme for next years reading? ( I was thinking time travel, but that's not set in stone). If y'all want to get started pick a theme and jan/Feb books!!

So did I -- I was terrified of sleeping against the wall!

Saw that when it originally aired. Scared the hell out of me! I never forgot it.

FYI - recently saw "Little Girl Lost" on Twilight Zone about a girl who falls through a portal into another dimension. It's available on Netflix streaming, Season 3, Episode 26.

The Halloween contest this year is- Bring your Daemon! It can be a plastic snake up your sleeve, or a giant stuffed cat (no real animals please!). Make sure you have a "story" as to why you chose what you did. The winner by consensus will win a copy of December's selection- whatever that end up being! Make sure and also bring along some suggestions- we have several months of selections to make!

Hana - this is 2 days before Halloween. Should we do anything special - like last year when we wore costume hats?
