2013 Arizona Canyon Rendezvous

Thursday-Sunday, April 11-14, 2013

The Arizona Canyon Rendezvous provides an opportunity for a diverse group of canyoneers to get together to practice skills learned in ACA courses and elsewhere, meet new friends and have fun doing canyons.

We believe that bringing people together is good for the sport. It brings people into the community; encourages sharing of ideas, information and techniques; and improves safety and ethics.

Rendezvous fee includes:

  • Camping
  • Saturday evening catered dinner and entertainment
  • Rendezvous T-Shirt

Does anyone know a person who lost his wedding band at the Jug recently? Titanium perhaps? I found one today at the waterfall (well at the bottom of the creek under the waterfall) and would like to return the ring. If you think you know someone, please pass them my email address. I had a great time in Arizona meeting old friends and making new ones. Rich did another masterful job putting it all together. We will look back on these golden days.

So I thought that totemrigging.com was the website to learn more about ways to use the Totem. I'm wrong, but I know there is a website that has all this stuff. Does anybody know what this website is?

    • Rich Carlson

Me too, loved Shifu’s Rendezvous, and thank Shifu for taking us to do canyons. It was nice to meet all the new friends. I had a great time! I will be back (with a wet/drysuite).

There was lack of communication about the required equipment to bring to be able to go to wet canyons. I did not have a wet or dry suite

From the rendezvous logistics page posted in discussions -
"There are numerous canyons within one to two hours drive from our campground. The type of rock and amount of water will vary. Bring a wetsuit for those canyons that have water. If you don't have a wetsuit, be sure to choose canyons accordingly."
