Recovering from Religion's Jerry DeWitt lecture

Jerry DeWitt, Executive Director of Recovering from Religion, Clergy Project contributor, and dubbed the "rising star" of the Free-thought movement, will be stopping in Oklahoma thanks to the Oklahoma Atheists (AOK) and agreed to give a talk on his journey from lifelong evangelical preacher to atheist, along with the impacts and logistics of letting go of faith for someone who’s entire life was built on a supernatural belief.

The talk is free but a "free-will" donation will be collected for him at the talk as he was fired in December from his government job for being an atheist. Suggested donation is $10 of which 100% goes directly to help Jerry and his family.

The talk will be held on the UCO campus in the Education Building, Rm 115, located on the west side of campus.

Enter the west side of the building, and stay to your right. 115 is the last door on your right.

AOK has the parking lot to the west of the building cleared for visitor parking. Please only park there.

The campus map can be located here.

For more information about Jerry and the Recovering from Religion organization please visit here or their Facebook page here.

Please share this event with all of your friends, we look forward to seeing you there.
