Casual Bridge to Bridge Walk at Lake Burley Griffin

Hi All,

For those of you who want to do something a little more active and enjoy a casual walk, I’ve organised a Bridge to Bridge walk at Lake Burley Griffin.

The route will be from the bottom of Anzac Parade (on the waterfront) heading towards the Carillion and over Kings Avenue Bridge , then down past the High Court, along the waterfront and over Commonwealth Avenue Bridge, then back to the start point.

The map is available here with the start point marked as A:

https://maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=Unknown+road&daddr=Unknown+road+to:Commonwealth+Ave%2FNational+Route+23+to:Unknown+road+to:Unknown+road&hl=en&sll=-35.294392,149.134512&sspn=0.017864,0.038581&geocode=FXB85f0dHK7jCA%3BFcRY5f0d-LnjCA%3BFTR-5f0dRIDjCA%3BFdN95f0dCKzjCA%3BFTiL5f0dzKjjCA&dirflg=w&mra=dme&mrsp=4&sz=15&t=m&z=15

Plenty of free parking at marker E and then take the underpass to get to the lake.

Please meet at about 6:45pm to leave at 7pm. Walk is just under 5km and takes about an hour at a casual pace. I’ll be wearing a Santa hat so you know you’re in the right place. If it’s raining the event will be cancelled

Hope to see you there!

Martin

Hi Harley, the link works, you need to click on the symbol on the top right corner and the map will appear. As per Martin's post above, it is at the bottom of Anzac Parade on the waterfront.

Hi Kelly, I've followed your instructions and the pointer points at the middle of the lake. I've made other plans so I'll see you @ bowling :-)
