Saturday Training Ride, + - 20 miles

Our training ride will be 20 miles along the American River Parkway, it will go out 10 miles downstream and turn around and coming back upstream along the same path. For this ride we hope that everyone can come out and stretch your legs and have a good ride at whatever pace you choose and do not feel the need to complete the entire distance, the turnaround point will be up to you if you don’t feel up to the entire distance. I am hoping for everyone to ride at a pace that they are comfortable and more than likely there will be a group of more advanced riders if you want to ride fast. Please bring water, snacks and sunscreen for your ride.

Also, please wear your Red Rider Jersey, if you have one.

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

If anyone wants additional miles, I can lead a group around Lake Natoma when we return for an extra 12 miles, or a longer route with a few climbs. We can discuss when we return.

Out of town this weekend. Love riding that route, plus around the lake is nice too. Enjoy your rides tomorrow!

I am planning to take my boys to ride from Gold River to Old Sacramento and back as our #2 training ride to ride 100k on 5/4. We are in the Intel Blue Team. It is about 19 miles one way. We would like to join you if we could ride longer than 20miles. Is there anyone would like to go further?
