Let's go for a bike ride! We'll start and end at Trailhead Coffee and Bikes and ride about a 40 mile loop with some hills! The plan is to take Baxter Grade Rd. up but those of you not interested, can detour at Ayres Holmes Road and reconvene with the climbers at Mt. Vernon Road. We'll briefly stop at the Mt. Pleasant Grange Hall for a quick refueling and rest. Bring water / electrolyte drinks, snacks / Cliff Bars / Gels or buy them at Trailhead that morning. Plan to consume ~200 calories / hour for about 3 hours. We will stop at McBeans’ Park in Lincoln to refuel and refill your water bottles. We plan to take Butler Rd. back to TH but depending on the time we may just keep straight at English Colony Way. Butler Rd. has a pair of steep rollers and it is also part of the metric.
We plan to roll out of TH at 9:00am sharp, be there by 8:30 or so, say HI to Jerry and have some coffee if you want! The plan is to be back at Trailhead by 1:00pm. They close Saturdays at 3pm. This is a route you must do if you are training for the TdC metric or full century!
