Hey Gina, I live in Mariposa and have been hiking Yosemite for most of my life. I am currently training for an arctic backpack in Alaska this summer and am always looking for friends to join me for a day hike. The large size of some of the group hikes make it difficult to go to some special places. If your ever interested in getting out just drop me a line. I am always headed somewhere, somewhere high! Just got home from a week in Great Basin Nat'l Park. Now that the pass is open, no limits! R

Welcome to San Joaquin Hikers, Gina! I'm so glad you didn't slip off Half Dome yesterday. I was thinking of hiking to Clouds Rest tomorrow, but was warned that the snow may make it hard to find the trail in some places. Hoffmann's trail was still covered in snow on Wednesday. Have you hiked to Clouds Rest via JMT before? Do you think it will be doable in a couple of weeks? Probably will be a fun adventure.....my favorite type of hikes ;-). Have fun and welcome!!

Actually for the rest of the group, funny thing happen, I was only 1 foot from shore and tip over my kayak and it's the green one LMAO

I was wet all day, but I did get into another one, more stable and I was able to float better

I am holding a kayak for you. If you drop off please let me know so I can loan it to another person.
