I was technically a christian until age 14. Since then, I have been varied degrees of atheist. Mostly, I have devoted my "Theological-Thought-Time" to Constructing Questions, which when considered, made it most difficult, to rely on invisible magical bullies as a questionable source of serenity, morality, or, an escape from our very reasonable mortality. The Questions I have spent my lifetime constructing, are based on the very questions that became my stepping stones to the human I have become. In my experience, These "faith Shaking" Questions, perhaps have potential, to free more minds from the addiction-like greed for immortality, and the irrational escape from responsibility in our nature, that religions feed upon. In sharing the stepping stones of my path with others, I hope to not only free more minds of the greed and fear that religions are based upon, but I also hope to also impart the gift of freedom to experience life, absent the dark aspects of greed and fear.
I seek tools to help people evaluate their beliefs more critically... I intend to help people become friends with "Questions" despite where the answers to those questions may lead. I believe in the unique individuality of our perceputual eyes, and the gift of freedom to allow everyone to see, whatever their eyes can see. but this acceptance of unique individuality, does not preclude any right of one person to judge another, or to force some antiquated belief system upon any other human being. These things seem to be the basis for religious expansion. Though I belive that in the presence of unrestrained thought, religious concepts relying upon greed / fear, will become less effective. presenting more people with the option of living their lives not only free of guilt and fear, but in celebration of the moment to moment power we have to create a beautiful life.
I started debate with theist, in 3rd grade, but was not aware that my activity was "debate". In the church / christian schools, I devoted my required book reports, and free time to seeking questions that made the religious educators uncomfortable.
I'm a little behind in video editing I know... so sorry my bad, anyways... The Analogies series has maybe one / three more classes, then, onto the next cool thing ! hopefully the increase in classes is not too far away, as once per month is not moving it along as quickly as I aspire. very best regards to all !!! // Tom \\
