I'm a retired Special Education teacher & have ADHD myself. Currently I'm a coach & educational consultant for Underachieving Teens, specializing in ADHD and Gifted. I once led the NoVa CHADD ADHD Adult group. Now on its Board of Directors.
A day or two.
"NoVa CHADD Board, Director of Support Groups, and also a member of National CHADD and ADDA."
Congenial group of adults. We're often amazed at how many other people with ADHD (or ADD) have had the same exact problems and concerns that we do. Usually, lots of laughing! Please join us. We are free and open to the public.

Joined about an hour ago. Just like Seton, I received an automatic confirmation email about meeting in a different location with dates from 2009. I plan on being at the September meeting, which I assume will be on the Monday following Labor Day. Looking forward to it!
been reading books and online forums about ADD, some of what others describe doesnot fit me, it seems others have much worse problems. not sure if I have mild ADD or if I overcompensate,
or if it's really ADD or something else. but need to explore.
Hi Anne,
I am not able to make the meeting tonight but am interested in future meetings. FYI, the automatic email that I received when I signed up referenced a different location made note of July and August 2009 meetings.
Hope to see you next month!
Hi Anne, you and Skip, are the best!!!! I've sort of become a 'fixture' at the meetings. I forget, but I think I've been a member of the meeting group since last July. Like Tom and Jim and several of the others, I always attend scheduled meetings. My personal email is: [masked]. Thanks very much for making sure I'm on all your notification lists.
Thanks for your email.I will be at the Adhd meeting this Wednesday July 8th.Do you think that you can meet me outside the library?Take Care.I am looking forward to meeting you.
