September Meetup #2, Part 2- Mangia Pizza

Just when you think I've managed to stabilize the schedule...

There are actually two meetups scheduled for this week. The first is our regularly-scheduled Third Wednesday meeting at Howson Library. The second is the next night, Thursday, at Mangia Pizza- not the one on Mesa Drive, but the one WAY up on Burnet Rd. at Duval. Now at least the people there know what they're doing.

The reason for this weirdness is that I'm not going to be able to come at all on Wednesday night. Now, I didn't want to take that meeting off the schedule entirely, in case some of you want to come to a meeting on Wednesday night, but Thursday night is bad. But I didn't want to completely abandon you guys, so I scheduled a second meeting that I can make it to, and would be in a different area (to help people out geographically) and at a different place (for those who'd like to come where we can have food).

So if you want to come to our Wednesday meeting, we still have the room reserved at Howson Library for that night. But I won't be there and you guys will be on your own to do whatever you like with the meeting. If someone brings a laptop and you guys want to show stuff on the web, just ask at the front desk for the projector cable and remote.

If you want to come Thursday, we'll have a meeting room at Mangia Pizza, but it's way up north (further north than I've ever had a meetup). So hopefully, this arrangement will cover everyone who wants to get together this week.

Had a great time, a number of new faces were seen- we're always happy to have new folks join us. Special thanks to recruiters Lisa Shone and Kacey Aumack for coming to talk to us- hopefully we can help them fill these positions. Check our message board and our LinkedIn group for their information.

So far I find it an excellent, varied group. Fletch is an excellent organizer who makes things happen.
