Call of Cthulhu (Delta Green - Modern)

Delta Green is a modern-day setting for the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game which takes place in the mid-to-late 1990s.
The game revolves around a fictitious secret organization called Delta Green, spearheaded by elements of the United States government. Its members are dedicated to combating the mind-rending horrors of the Cthulhu Mythos.
The organization works undercover by contacting and gathering members across the wide range of U.S. government agencies like the FBI, CIA,ATF, CDC, and DEA.
It appears to have "gone rogue" somewhere between the 1960s and the 1980s following a disastrous operation in Cambodia and the "deal" struck by the Reagan administration with the "Greys" via the offices of the Majestic-12 governmental UFO conspiracy group.
If you like Call of Cthulhu and the X-Files, this is the one for you.
It's open to newbies and veterans. You can pop in for the occasional game or play every time..there will be a loose campaign "arc" to the games but each session works on it's own too.

This game happens on a saturday, every four weeks. It will conclude in the next three or four sessions.
In this, the fourth Delta Green scenario, the agents are regrouping after the turmoil and conspiracies of the last mission.

With suspicions of fellow and senior agents running high, the players from a conspiracy of their own, dedicated to taking the fight to the "Majestic 12", Delta Greens main rival.

Agent Selene is contacted by Agent Andrea a month later. Andrea had a nervous breakdown and has been sent to a clinic in Nevada by Agent Alphonse.

She claims to have stumbled on something very wrong at the clinic, something possibly connected with Majestic 12 that has implications for the clinic and town as a whole.

Some of the agents will be required to go under deep cover to the clinic, as patients or new staff members, while the others check out the town.

Builders bulldoze one of the largest Mayan pyramids - to make road gravel. No shit.

Man, there is some fiction to be written about the road made out of crumbled Mayan pyramids. Got me thinking about Delta Green. Maybe there was a reason that pyramid HAD TO be demolished, and we're not talking to make gravel.

I've tweaked numbers, so we'll have same group size as last time.

Perfect split for two groups :-)

Sandys character will be leading one group on the undercover clinic mission.
Tony will be leading the other group in investigating the town, recently abandoned over safety concerns after an infestation of locusts.

And yes...I'm splitting the group into two missions again. This time they're related though. Some of you will be undercover in the clinic, some of you will be checking out a nearby town.
Rest assured that there will be big revelations about Majestic 12, and some "special" sanity rules that I'll be applying to this, and only this, session.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is an upcoming video game where you play a member of an underground government bureau tasked with investigating an alien disturbance in 1963. While not necessarily eldritch in origin, a period game with aliens sounds pretty neat. The team on it does pretty decent storytelling, too.

The live action trailer is really cool:

The plot, which is not in the trailer, is that JFK is about to call in a retaliatory strike against the USSR when it is revealed that what has been assumed to be a Russian nuclear attack is actually extraterrestrial in nature.

I thought you folks might find this intriguing.

The evil machinations of Agent Orbital is all the turmoil and conspiracy that we need!!! A poor half insane academian doesn't stand a chance with him around!
