Dungeon World’s rules are easy to learn and always drive the action forward in unexpected ways. A missed roll is never a dead end—failure introduces new complexities and complications. Life as an adventurer is hard and dangerous but it’s never boring! No knowledge of the system is required and it's ideal for newcomers.
This is the first of my new tuesday night weekly sessions.
Because of the time slot and frequency of the games, these sessions won't be long, typically wrapping up around 9PM, but will be intense and great for smaller groups.
Depending on interests and other schedules,this might be a weekly or bi-weekly campaign. If it's bi-weekly, then I'll alternate with another game,same deal. See how it goes.
Bring 2D6, D4,D8,D10 and D12.
Characters are generated in the group setting together. Everything comes from a picklist.
There is only one of each class in play at one time. I'll be bringing the following...and keep in mind that these might not work the same way as their D&D equivalents : Barbarian,Bard,Cleric,Druid,Fighter,Paladin,Ranger,Wizard,Thief,Shaman.
In the first session,we'll discuss the characters and the rules, then create characters and some history, then jump into a tense situation. The "world" isn't in place in the first session...I create it out of what I hear in this one and build it going forward.
