Numenera RPG

Join us in exploring the Ninth World,a billion years in the future, built on the bones of the previous eight worlds in the new science fantasy game by Monte Cook.

Player characters explore the weird world to find Numenera....the strange leftover artifacts of the previous worlds.

The game is strong on story and narrative with streamlined mechanics (D20 needed) and is really something innovative.

This runs biweekly on tuesdays, and the sessions are short but focused.

I will be running "The Devil's Spine".

You will be hooked into this scenario as caretakers, robbers, rebels or investigators....your call.

Hey Chuck and I are having to backout due to some last minute stuff that popped up on us. We apologize, but it looks like you have a full table anyway.

What Luke said. Deepest apologies. - C.

Not a problem lads! You're welcome at any of these sessions..I'll be doing stuff every tuesday for the forseeable future (except for one in April).

    Is it too full?

Come along Sandy, just opened a slot. It'll be a big group...we'll see how it handles and how it settles over time. There's always the option of running two groups if someone else wants to GM as well..this setting is so varied that they could do something totally different with it. I'm not worried about a group of 8 in this...diversity is important and this one can get really, really rough.

Nope. We're all gonna be Mad Jacks who Entertain.

I've opened it up. Given the variety and scale of challenges in this, we can handle eight.
And of course, as in everything else I've ran, I fully intend to separate the characters ;-)

I also realized that the players new to me as a GM don't know my style etc. I'm primarily a Call of Cthulhu GM, and also run My Life With Master,Monster of the Week and Dungeon World. Everything I run leans to the weird and creepy with a dose of dark humor, and that'll be the case with this too, which is why I'm starting with Devils Spine. I encourage everyone to play who they want to play, and we see where it all leads!

Numenera is also a game about exploration, discovery and rediscovery. We should explore everything. With Paul here, I'm sure we'll be perfectly fine~! :D

Sounds like your style is a good fit for chuck and I.

Wish I could come, but I wouldn't be able to even if it was on Monday. (Working instead of off like usual).

Should we pre build characters or build at the first session?

      Mr Casey!

That being said, if you know what you want to play, I have no problem with anyone building in advance...anyone who does can help me set up the other players in the session.

Given the interest in this game, I'm happy to open up the RSVP if someone else wants to run a session of it too, alongside mine? Attendees can decide on the night which one they want to go for. The other GM and myself are bound to have different takes on it too, given the scale and diversity of the setting. Thoughts?

      Only you, Paul

Thanks,Mr James! Just thinking with Greg and Jonas on the list, plus Charles probably wanting in and maybe more...this could easily warrant two groups of 4-5 players.

Yay, I'm stoked for this game!
