About Prakruti

Prakruti is currently of the senior most students and has been undergoing training in Bharatanatyam for the past decade under the close supervision of her Guru Sri. P Praveen Kumar, Director of Chithkala School of Dance, Bangalore.(www.chithkala.com)

Sankranthi marks the transition of the Sun into Makara rashi (Capricorn) on its celestial path.
Makar Sankranti is a major harvest festival celebrated in various parts of India. Makar Sankranti, apart from a harvest festival is also regarded as the beginning of an auspicious phase in Indian culture. It is said as the 'holy phase of transition'.It is celebrated on 14th January every year
