Hi Ann, Welcome the the Makuse Meetup! We have a great network of x-country trails just behind our house and plenty of snowshoeing. And if you are up for learning snowboarding, there is plenty of us doing that as well! Look into skinh.com for free or very cheap first time lessons in January. For "learn a snow sport month" they offer lots of discounts at different mountains.
