What to expect at an APAS Toastmaster Meeting:
Meetings normally start promptly at 6:30 pm. Guest welcoming and member networking begins at 6:15 pm. The meetings are run by the members. As the meeting progresses, the different meeting roles are explained to the guests and visitors.
There are 3 primary segments to the meeting: First there will be 2-4 scheduled speakers. Second is a "TableTopics" segment, and Third there is an Evaluation segment in which the speakers are critiqued and offered constructive criticism. The Table Topics segment consists of questions that are answered with a 1-2 minute impromptu response, and guests are permitted, but not required, to participate.
Dress is casual. Guests are always welcome for free, of course. Meetings are open to everyone over 18 yrs. Membership to APAS Toastmasters is $53 for each 6 months. We have a fun and energetic group. Everyone is there for the same purpose, self-improvement!
