Ricardo Alcocer

Head of Developer Community Management, Appcelerator

Ricardo Alcocer works as Appcelerator Platform Evangelist, responsible for conducting developer community outreach globally.  Ricardo comes with over 15 years of software developmenent experience, and has been developing mobile Apps with Titanium since late 2009.

Title: Lowering the bar for mobile API development

Description: This discussion will cover how mobility is enabled with APIs.
We will walk through real life use cases and the architecture of Appcelerator. More importantly, we will discuss important levels of abstraction that can be used for the client and cloud application development when simplifying the process of creating native mobile
applications.

Praveen Alavilli

Lead Product Architect, Developer Platform

Praveen is the lead architect for the APIs & Developer Products at PayPal helping in building the next generation APIs, tools and resources for external developers. Before that, he was the lead evangelist for eBay Inc. running the developer evangelism and tools organization at X.commerce to help developers learn, build and use the PayPal, eBay and X.commerce platforms,  a systems architect for identity and authentication at Amazon, and earlier he did the same at AOL. Praveen has long been a proponent of open standards, and has been a big supporter of grassroots efforts such as OpenID and OAuth.

Title: PayPal REST APIs & Mobile SDK

Description: This discussion will focus on the new set of RESTful API’s and iOS SDK that make integrating with PayPal simpler as well as allowing you to use the tools and technologies you like to use to add PayPal to your projects.   It includes cool new features like allowing your customers to use the camera on their iPhone to make a payment with a card using card.io technology and storing the card in the "Vault" for multiple use.
