Agile on Trial
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury. The defendant stands before you, accused of the crime of heresy against the status quo. Accused of conspiring to unseat our most sacred and enduring processes and methods. Accused of sowing false hope, and proffering empty promises."
"The charges shall be collected and read before the court, and after brief deliberation, the prosecution and the defense shall be allowed to speak. Then you, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, shall present you verdict."
Many times, the proponents of an Agile Adoption, find themselves thrust into a virtual courtroom, asked to defend Agile against accusations and characterizations that range from apocryphal to unflattering. How do we answer these charges? Can Agile be defended?
On Wednesday, November 5th, come bearing the worst stories and rumors against Agile. We will engage in Open Space breakout sessions to discuss the merits of the charges, then each group will provide two representatives: one to prosecute, the other to defend... and the outcome shall be judged by a jury of your peers.
By night's end, we shall have an idea which accusations have merit, and at the very least, have an understanding of how to answer the charges the next time they are put to you.
