Since we're in the height of summer and in the midst of a heatwave, we're going to tone things down for the July meeting.
This session will be our annual touchpoint, where we sit down with the members and attendees, and find out what direction they'd like to see APLN Chicago take in the coming year. In the past, this has been a very social gathering, just sitting down and chatting at a restaurant, rather than at a formal meeting venue.
We've selected Gino's East on Higgins because it is walking distance from the Cumberland Blue Line station, and is still in the same general area as our regular meeting facility at TMA. (Those of you who were with us last year will recognize that Gino's is on the main floor of the Omicron meeting facility).
The agenda will be more free-form than most, providing ample opportunity for the attendees to steer the conversation, and place the focus on whatever topics interest them most.
If you like what the APLN has been doing this year, or have suggestions about where we should go next, this is a great opportunity for you to sit down with the board for a one-on-one conversation.
In the absence of serious content, we reserve the right to have more fun than usual.
We hope you'll join us.
