Investigate w/APRS - Glenmont Cemetery

  • Jun 8, 2012 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join the Albany Paranormal Research Society on Friday evening June 8, 2012  as we search for paranormal activity at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Glenmont, NY.
The site is active and the location of several EVPs being captured and also where a full body apparition was seen and then captured on film a few years ago.

Bring any personal investigation equipment you may have: camera, thermometer, EMF meter, KII meter, voice recorder, etc. APRS team members will be on hand to help those who need assistance using their equipment, offer advice on investigation techniques and to answer questions.Bring a flashlight as the event will run through dusk (end time is approx 9:30pm).

We also encourage you to bring insect repellent, a non-alcoholic beverage to stay hydrated with and also a lawn, camp or portable chair as we will be conducting EVP sessions in different locations of the cemetery. ** Proper footwear should be worn for this outdoor event, no flip flops please **

Registration for the event will start @ 6:30pm in the back parking lot of the McDonalds located at 376 Feura Bush Road in Glenmont. We will be heading to the cemetery around 7:15pm. You will be required to sign a release during the registration process, if you do not sign a release you will not be able to attend the investigation. The cemetery is a short drive from the McDonalds meeting location and carpooling from the registration location is encouraged. In doing so it helps ensure we do not have a large number of cars parked all over the cemetery.

There are a limited number of spots available for this event so RSVP early. If you have any questions please send an email to [masked] or call[masked]

I had a great time. Hope to attend more events like this in the near future. A great learning experience about investigating techniques as well as debunking skills.

Had a really nice time. The weather was awesome considering the storm warnings. I wasn't disappointed as this is my most favorite place to go.

Ugh why did people wait until the last minute to revoke their RSVPs?!?! I mean I probably should pay attention more but if I had known that there were 5 spots left yesterday I would have gone tonight. Oh well. Have fun everyone!

Upon our review of the latest weather forecasts the severe weather threat may stay north and east of us so the event at the Glenmont Cemetery will go on as scheduled tonight. Please use your own best judgement in deciding to attend this evening. If it does storm during the event tonight, your donation will be refunded.

Please be advised that we are monitoring the weather forecasts for tomorrow evening (possible severe thunderstorms in area) and will make a decision at 3:00pm tomorrow, Friday June 8th as to whether to hold our event, Investigation of the Glenmont Cemetery. Know that our members safety is a priority and if we should have to cancel our outdoor event due to severe weather we will reschedule it to a date later in June.
Please check your email and the meetup page for updates tomorrow afternoon.

Todd are you talking about the "Ghost Radar" smart phone apps? They cannot be used as actual credible evidence but have experimented with it on my iPhone and got some hard to explain things while conducting short sessions with it. Hope you and Kim enjoy the evening this Friday.

Hi Heidi and Patricia - the recorders on your phone/I pod may work for conducting EVP sessions however wanted to give you a heads up that files you record could be too large and you may run into difficulty downloading them from your device onto a computer. If you plan to do more investigating over time you may wish to invest in a voice recorder. Wal Mart usually has them starting around $25 and you can also check them out on Amazon.com as well.
