BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - Follow up to Jim Wollbrinck's presentation about 7.2 EQ

Come to hear Jim Wollbrinck's follow up presentation about the consequences of a 7.2 EQ to the Bay Area's water supply? Three issues that may may provide opportunities to us: 1. Local, real-time sampling of water for toxins and poisons; 2. Temporary water supply to major industries to get them up and running as quickly as possible so they won't move out of the area due to long term shut-down of water service; 3. Staging of critical repair equipment/materials so they can be used rapidly to repair major breaks in water supply such as Hetch Hetchy water main.

Definitely interesting - we did not have enough time to discuss all that Jim had to talk about. How about we schedule this for our meeting in Oct/Nov?

Hello All. I have completed a prototype of an Echelon LonWorks network that will control the pumps in a long hose relay.
Please look at my website www.electric-fluid-pipeline.com

I hope to present to your group in a few months. I live in Boston.
The system can be used to deliver emergency water via a long hose line. It can also be used to fight wildfires. Regards, Steve

Steve - Sounds very interesting. We would welcome a presentation on this technology. Also, since it appears that one of the key use cases is during a disaster, you may like to connect with Jim Wollbrinck to gauge his interest. Regards, KP
