AR Glasses Showcase and Hackathon. It's on!

NOTE: Please register for this event through here.  http://ar2014toa.tumblr.com/Tickets

It's official, it's happening, and we've got some very cool speakers and great AR glassmakers on board.

You'll get a chance to try out Optinvent's ORA, the Epson Moverio BT-200, and of course, the Google Glass. We'll have speakers from Optinvent and Epson, so you'll get to lean some insights about them too.

See you there!

You may have already heard about it through the eventbrite notifications, but incase you missed it, ORA-1 by Optinvent (which you would have seen at the AR Showcase as one of the prizes), is now on kickstarter! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/optinvent-ora1/ora-1-smart-glasses-developer-version Go check it out, it's exciting stuff :D

Thanks again for everyone that came and took part. Huge thanks to our speakers who shared their knowledge: Khaled from Optinvent, Walter from Epson, Klasien from LavaLab, Marco from HERE, and Ronan from SQRL solutions. Also very special thanks to Optinvent and Epson for giving away their super cool AR Glasses as prizes (a pair of Optinvent ORA, and Epson BT 200), and ImmobilienScout 24 and YouIsNow for providing the amazing venue and support :D

More photos, and presentation slides are also up on the website: http://ar2014toa.tumblr.com/

I am developing for Virtual Reality only at the moment, but the next Oculus development kit will allow for Augmented Reality tech addons which I will definitely try out as I ordered one.
