2013 is here and AR is beginning to hit the main stream. Google Glass is in the pipeline with developer hackathons at the end of January/Early Feb. Augmented World Expo (AWE) has become a destination developer conference and will (apparently?) undergo a rebranding due to its popularity. The commercial AR development suites (Vuforia, Layar, Metaio, Total Immersion, String, et al) have thousands of registered developers around the world. And it turns out, the greater Los Angeles area, and Southern California in general, is home to many of the most prominent AR companies and has all the ingredients to be at the epicenter of the augmented world.
ARLA is for developers, designers, entrepreneurs, brands, agencies, producers, programmers, scientists, educators, investors, artists, marketers, TED fans, skynet-avoiders, and more. Our goal is to bring augmented reality professionals and enthusiasts together... for discussion and collaboration which will lead to AR's growth as a fun, productive, powerful - and lucrative industry.
Join ARLA and watch the future be augmented by our members.
