Acquisition Panel

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a real treat for you: an acquisition panel with diverse experience and deep understanding of the UA game.

Your panelists are:

  • Eyal Grundstein, Head of Mobile Marketing @ GSN
  • David Diaz, Sr. Director of Developer Relations @ SponsorPay
  • James Peng, User Acquisition & Monetization @ Storm8 / TeamLava
  • Nicole Yang, Business Development @ Grow Mobile
  • [Moderator] Christine Lee, Director of Business Development North America @ Chartboost

This pane will be looking to answer the questions that a lot of people have in the industry, especially small studios or CEOs tacking on UA to their long list of responsibilities. Some samples of the questions I’ll be asking are:

  • How do you break through the “fog of war” quickly and cheaply when starting out in UA?
  • How do you manage acquisition channels across portfolios of games?
  • What are the best practices for getting noticed by the Featured teams for each app store, beyond “make a great game”?
  • Has any non-paid acquisition channel besides ranking / app store feature ever driven significant traffic for you, or is this a pay-to-win only game?
  • And more

The panel will be held at Yetizen’s Innovation Lab, 540 Howard St, San Francisco, CA. Snacks and beer from HolyCraft! Brewery will be served. Get here early because delicious, free craft beer tends to run out quickly!

6:00pm - Doors open
7:00pm - Panel begins
7:45pm - Audience Q&A
8:00pm - More networking
9:00pm - Close

Mack From Tapstream here. We bought the (delicious) Holy Craft beer. Those guys know what they are doing.

If anybody has any questions about user attribution and tracking I'd love to chat. We let you compare your cost of player acquisition versus their life time value so you can make smart choices about marketing.

Feel free to email me at mack (at) tapstream (dot) com.

Just moved to SF so happy to find new people to have a coffee with and chat. Getting my bearings one day at a time, would love to buy you a drink.

Great panel and the moderator was fun in trying hard to get some dirt out of the panel.

The panel and meetup were excellent: this was my first meetup and I can't imagine it going any better than it did. All my expectations were met or exceeded and there were plenty of people to network with that had a range of backgrounds and interest in the game industry. Great job Tyler and thanks so much to the panelist and moderator, Christine!
