NEWaukee Night Market

NEWaukee’s night market is a collision of all Milwaukee has to offer. The Night Market is a free open-air market that offers a wide variety of experiences for people of all backgrounds and ages.

The market is held from 5-10pm one Wednesday a month from July through October:

- July 16
- August 13
- September 17
- October 15

LOCATION:
The parking lot between 4th and 5th on Wisconsin Ave in the new Moire Pavilion!

The Night Market features a mash up of art and craft vendors, technology installations, food trucks/carts, live art creation, performances, local music and a beer garden that will support local art organizations. The goal is to create a free, vibrant, safe and interactive place in downtown Milwaukee for people to experience culture at night. By visiting the night market you not only contribute to the local economy, but you are part of the solution to a revitalization of West Wisconsin Ave.

The market will take place in the new Moiré Pavilion designed by artist and architect Paul Bestul and will be held under the beautiful Dream Catcher created by visual artist, Ayla Boyle.

The following artists, finalists from the public Tournavation event last winter, will also be featured during the night markets:

- John Riepenhoff — Beer Garden
- James Carlson — Polyplane
- Daniel Fleming — FaceBox
- Cynthia Henry and AYZHA Fine Arts Gallery — Live Radio Play
- The MMXII Team — MMXII Sidewalk
- Evelyn Patricia Terry — Downtown Luv Seats
- Sarah Luther — Urban Hikes

I'd like to check this out but only have about an hour. I'd probably be able to come from 6:15-7:15? Is there a meeting place or do people just mill around on their own? Please let me know. Thanks!

You could meet at the NEWaukee info booth but most people mill around.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
