How will we know who at the event is with our group?

    January 24, 2013

Yeah, a person is the main resource needed. Just set up a table and chair, and have someone sit there with a nicely printed MEETUP sign, and check people in. Perhaps Meetup name tags for people that want them...

      I think that would work

The ART Jamborees are always a great time... I meet new people, get to see some art, and sometimes get to show off some art. Whether or not I meet people who are specifically signed up on Meetup isn't a big issue... I think it's just one more way to organize and spread the word about what Art Milwaukee does.

To Jeremy--and the Whole team that planned this event: I Congratulate you on the success of a great event. It was my first Art Milwaukee experience--and won't be my last! I don't understand those who expected more--& felt let down. You get out of it what you put Into it. I was glad to meet new people, vendors, and artists. As entrepreneurs, maybe we all just think differently than the 8 to 5 crowd. We need to all band together to support each others' efforts. The complainers will be left--alone--in the dust--while we move forward. Again--Thanks!...and Congrat's!

Thanks Steve. It takes a good 200 hours to produce that type of event. In addition, its free. Thanks for the understanding and support.

Not enough art. I met no one from meetup.com. Lol

Sarah not really sure how much more art you can have with 25 art organizations doing film, theater, dance, music, installations, spoken word and culinary. ART is everything it is not just a painting on a wall.

Thanks for the comment. Maybe I missed some of it. And, yes, I do know art is more than a painting on a wall.

    It's bimonthly, right? I missed it :'(

indeed the art jamboree is bi-monthly. We throw other events besides the art jamboree, but those are our largest reoccurring events.

Thanks everyone I think there is some misunderstanding of the group. ART Milwaukee throws the entire event. Everyone at the event is there to meet everyone else at the event. That is what a social experience around art is. We use meet up to simply meet everyone else in the ART Milwaukee organization. It's hard to find everyone especially when there are over 1,500 in attendance throughout the night. Please check out our Facebook page to get a better understanding of the event. www.facebook.com/art.milwaukee

    I had a great time! : )
I loved getting to see what all of the Milwaukee art organizations, and artists had to present, and be able to interact with them on a face to face level. Here's a little recap for your viewing pleasure : )
