About Anna Clucas
Born and race in the Isle of Man (between the coastlines of England and Ireland, in the middle of the Irish Sea), Anna is a professional artist graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a BA Honours degree in Ceramics and Printmaking. Previous to that she attended the Isle of Man College completing an advanced GNVQ in Art and Design, A Levels textiles, Ceramics, Art and Design and studied for one year on the Art and Design Foundation course.
Anna started working with oil while establishing her ceramic studio and in her own words: “This was when I discovered the wonderful world of oils. Using vivid colours and confident brush strokes I integrate landscape and abstraction with the idea of freedom and improvisation. This gives me the ability to enjoy working at will under no compulsion or restraint. I paint with movement and feeling, playing with the medium, building up in stages and layers”.
Anna has participated more than 15 exhibitions, private commissions and as resident artist between in West Midlands, United Kingdom and Douglas, Isle of Man where she has her studio. Read more about Anna Clucas www.annaclucas.com
