Since the first time (15 years ago) I drew a button on a computer screen and used it to start a motor so large that it actually made the building move beneath me, I have been interested in interfacing computers to real world systems. Skills: Controls (PLCs, DCS, embedded) Motor speed controls (AC/ AC polyphase/DC) Sensors (inductive, capacitive, temperature, flow, level, etc.) Actuators (motors, valves, linear and servo) Industrial networking (DeviceNet, Profibus, CAN, Modbus, Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP, OPC) Human Machine Interface (Wonderware, iFIX, Visual Designer/InduSoft Web Studio, others) Arduino Interests: Animata Max Open NI Frameworks OSC Kinect Real world sensors (GPS, Accelerometers, tilt/pivot) others... learning!
Hi! My name is Les Nyulak - I'm an independent control system specialist... my main background is industrial machine control, but I am now very interested in interactive design. Music is also a very large part of my life.
