I was thinking just get some of our "audio-experts" already in the group to participate.

Do you want to get some of the other new members to give a talk before I give another one? Or, we could do a kind of 'workshop' on the 'Next 5 years of audio technology' where I give a quick intro and then lead a discussion with a 'panel.' We could have 5 people give 10 minute presentations & then have open debate.
