Unholy Night Riders - Arkansas River Trail Bike Ride

Silent Night - Unholy Night

Join us for a fun and slightly spooky twilight ride along the Arkansas River Trail. We'll meet up in the Clinton Presidential Library parking lot (see map). The parking lot is well lit, patrolled, and safe. We'll saddle up and ride clockwise along the trail through Little Rock while it's still daylight, up the South side of the river to the Two Rivers Park Bridge, then back to cross the Big Dam Bridge, and ride down the North Little Rock side. Finally, we'll cross the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge back to our start point. From there you can load up your bike and head home, or join us for dinner and/or a beer(s) in the River Market.

Night riding the Arkansas River Trail is a fun and unique experience. The bridges are lit up, the weather is cool, and we almost always see deer, raccoon, opossum, and the occasional skunk or two. You'll need a headlight and red tail light for safety and to see where you're going, especially through the woods along the North Little Rock side.

  • Susan will lead our novice and more leisurely riders along the basic 15 mile loop. You should easily be back by 9:30pm.
  • Dave will escort the more advanced riders up to Two Rivers Park, and also include fun detours along the forested Burns Park soccer field trail, for a total of about 29 miles. We should be back by about 9:30 to 10:00pm.
  • After the ride, we'll pick a place for beer and/or dinner.

I'll say this is tentative, as we may have guests from out of town...
