Each Sunday night you can enjoy episodes of Neil deGrasse Tyson's "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" with your fellow freethinkers. The show airs from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm, but feel free to come early to mingle and chat, and bring along your favorite potluck snacks and beverages to share.

Tonight's Episode: "The Clean Room" - The little known but heroic story of a guy from Iowa that can't really be told without going all the way back to the time long before the Earth was formed - to the origin of the elements in the hearts of stars. The tempestuous youth of the Earth effectively erased all traces of its beginnings. How did we ever learn its true age?

About the show: "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" will invent new modes of scientific storytelling to reveal the grandeur of the universe and re-invent celebrated elements of the original series, including the Cosmic Calendar and the Ship of the Imagination. Uniting skepticism and wonder, and weaving rigorous science with visual, emotional, and spiritual elements, it will be a transcendent experience – a vision of the cosmos on the grandest scale we know.

I'll bet this pic of Neil on the rock-top was shot day-for-night on a bright sunshiny day with a blue sky. Then in post they took down the luminance and then chroma-keyed the blue sky to the star field. Don't think they could have gotten such a bright sky with such a dark foreground. Also, not sure that same skyfield would have been readily available. Any other ideas?
