If you haven't been to a meeting yet, this would be a great place to start! It's a great opportunity to get together and share our "deconversion" stories, our values as freethinkers, talk about what kind of future events you're interested in, and just get to know each other over some food. And don't let the name fool you! - our old members attend as well, to help us welcome the new folks.
BYOB, and bring your favorite dish to share. There's no limit or menu - bring what YOU like to eat, and make enough of it for at least 10 people. Although 30-40 people tend to show up, everyone seems to want to try everything.
Friends and family are welcome. Anne's basement is kid-friendly and even has children's books, toys, and a television for entertainment. The kids are definitely welcome.
We hope to see you there!
Parking tips:
Parking can be a challenge in Hillcrest, especially here, where the old streets are narrow and stone walls line them. There is no parking on Oak St, and parking on Oakwood is very limited. If cars are parked on both sides of Oakwood, no one can get through.
If you do not find a spot on Oakwood (and you probably won't), we suggest parking on H street east of Oak, or on Pine, and walking a block to Anne's house. (It's the one with the orange turret.)
Thanks for having me. It was nice meeting some of you. Unfortunately, I had an emergency and had to leave quickly but hopefully I'll get a chance to meet more of you in the future.

Better than I expected to be. Lots of good conversation. I wish I could have stayed even longer :)

I had great time too enjoyed talking to old and new members. As usual it was standing room only. Someone brought the cutest baby. Yes she left with her parents. We also had children there. Everyone come out for the lecture series today at the library. Clean Coal? Glenn Hooks will explain today at 1:30pm at the library.

I'm really sorry, but I have to cancel. My car suddenly has a bad coolant leak and I'm going to have to just not drive it until I can get it fixed, hopefully tomorrow. And Patrick is working until 9 or 10; otherwise I would just use his car. I was really looking forward to coming out tonight and getting to see/meet you guys, so this is too bad. :-(

We're looking forward to seeing all of you again, and meeting some people I know only through Facebook.
