I joined the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers in 2009. I'm a theoretical physical chemist and mathematician by education, but I have been working at the Health Statistics Branch of the Arkansas Department of Health since 1996.

This is a great group with an increasing variety of different events and an excellent group of members that are very enjoyable to talk to. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in socializing with intelligent thoughtful people from a variety of backgrounds with a strong interest in atheism, agnosticism, separation of church and state, and other variations on the theme of free thought. In the ~3 years that I have been active in the group, it has continued to grow and provide a richer supply of interesting discussions and socialization.
