I am an astronomer at the University of Central Arkansas. In addition to teaching and research I also run the UCA Planetarium and Observatory.
I am interested in science education.

I really wish I could make it tomorrow. My 10yo daughter is also passionate about astronomy & is heartbroken we will not be there. Do you do these events monthly?
I am divinely inspired to greet you. I have no idea why.
FYI: I am teaching a free workshop on statistical programming next weekend if you know anyone that might be interested! Lunch Included! Thanks! http://bioinformatics.ualr.edu/worksh...![]()

Hello Scott, it is great to have you apart of our society, and I hope to see you at our upcoming functions.
It was fun talking with you last night - as usual! I'm glad you came.
"Great to meet you Scott.
Hope to see you again soon.
Peace
geo"
Hello Scott,
Well to say I'm excited to have you join our group is an under-statement
.
I'm thrilled, might be closer. Are my smiles coming through?
I owned a Celestron C-14 back in the 80s and took several
classes at that time. Have always been interested in astronomy, and still
own a small scope, which I pull out now and then to show the heighbor kids
some of the wonders in the sky.
I need to take a more recent class, so much has changed since the 80s.
Welcome, welcome, welcome..

Hey Scott! Glad you found us online. I am a bioinformaticia
n at UALR and run our lab here. I look forward to meeting you at Vino's!
Wow! Super cool! Welcome to the group, Scott. A field trip to your planetarium & observatory would make a great event for our group. I'm looking forward to meeting you at Vino's to talk about that and maybe talking you into giving an astronomy lecture at one of our monthly speaker series. I used to cross oceans using celestial back when I was a C-130 navigator, so I have an appreciation for astronomy. We're glad to have you!
