Operating costs of our group:
Each Meetup Group Organizer pays semi-annual dues of $72 and for the ASL Bridge Meetup Group, the next dues payment is coming up. Being a member of ASL Bridge is free of cost to our members. However, a number of members have expressed a desire to help contribute to this operating expense. Since 2007 this expense has been covered by the organizer. In 2012 we began to ask our members to help cover this cost, but it has yet to be covered in full and the organizer pays the difference twice a year.
Please help us keep this webpage going by helping to cover the cost of running the site. We are only asking for a $1 donation!
By RSVPig for this event your credit card will be charged $1.00. For example, a member who RSVPs +5 will be charge $6.00. There is a maximum of +10 for each member RSVP. This transaction is being handled through PayPal so the credit card info will not be disclosed. This means of contributing is completely voluntary and will help insure the continued maintenance of this webpage. The number of RSVP has been limited to 72 so a balance will not accumulate beyond the amount due. If the money collected does exceed $72, the overage will go toward funding one of our Deaf community events.
This Dues Event will be offered every 6 months as the payment date approaches. The Organizer will provide any portion of the dues not covered by member contributions. To be sure all transactions are transparent, members can review the Group financial activity by clicking on the "Money" tab. For more information on how this works, the Meetup Help tab provides a lot more detail. Questions can also be directed to Becca, ASL Bridge Meetup Group Organizer.
As you know this is a member run group. If you would like to help by posting information about Deaf community events to our calender or by hosting a silent meetup please contact Becca. Every year ASL Bridge gives back to the community by organizing interpreted events at venues where this service is not usually available.
