I first learned English Sign Language in 1999, then ASL a couple years later. I've forgotten most of what I learned all those years ago but I would like to sign again.
I lived in Rochester, NY for a number of years where there is a large deaf community. When I would volunteer at health fairs or after-school programs, I learned a lot about matters of relevance to the deaf community (such as public health and education). As a community advocate, I continue to take an interest in the health and well-being of deaf people.
Hi, my name is Kim. I'd like to learn ASL and know more about deaf culture.
