Introduction

Hi I'm Mark, late-deafened and hearing again with a CI. I encountered sign along the way & it was helpful even when I didn't really know a thing about it. (Anything helps when you're struggling to lipread!) Taking ASL1 now and need lots of practice!

How long have you been signing?

Started ASL in Jan '12, plus just a few tidbits over the last couple years.

What made you interested in sign language?

I was frustrated, when losing my hearing, that even if I'd been a fluent signer, no one else around me would know what I was saying anyway. Besides just liking it, I decided I didn't want to be _that_ guy when I encountered someone else who relies on their ASL.
