This group is for people with a passion for ASL, in particular students that are either learning to become an interpreter or instructor or someone who uses ASL either with a friend or family member that is hh or deaf. Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing are all welcome.
Meetups will be at least once a week in person, and at least once a week on SKYPE. Locations will be either a coffee shop, or library. If you are a CUNY student then most likely any CUNY library will be a great location.
As for the rules...
The membership fee is for the person that joined the group only. It is not transferable. If you have a friend or family member or just a person that you might want to bring them with you they must join this group online prior to coming. Please have a photo of yourself as your group picture please. Thank you.
This group is closed to new members.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
