ASTD Alaska Meeting: If powerpoint productions were a reality show...

If PowerPoint productions were a reality show...it would be called "the Deadliest Presentations"

Kalani Parnell promotes his crusade, changing the world one PowerPoint slide at a time. Let's join him! You need not be a trainer or educator.  If you make presentations, this may change your approach.

Join us for the gathering at Providence Health Center at 11:30 AM. For more details about ASTD & this month’s program (including maps), visit http://www.astdalaska.org. Bring business cards for networking prior to the speaker's time. Non-members, please make a cash donation for continuation of this series (ten dollars, suggested donation).

Kalani Parnell is continuously changing the world one PowerPoint slide at a time. Employed by Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), his presentation & training skills are legend. Kalani has 20 years of experience & currently serves as the Organizational Development coordinator where his LEAN/Six Sigma training is called into play.

Although Kalani will wrap up about 1PM, stay to ask questions and share ideas. ASTD's August meeting is open until 1:30 PM!

I thought this meeting was very good. I learned about things that I was doing right and wrong. I felt it was informative. I only gave it 4 stars because it left me wanting more. I felt this should have been called "Presentations 101" rather than imply that it was mainly about PowerPoint. As a company that builds most of its internal training on PowerPoint, I was expecting to get more PowerPoint nitty gritty. The speaker and presentation were excellent.

Thought provoking. Good reminders of the basics plus new content to absorb. Kalani gets to the heart of presentation skill building.
